NEW PUPPY SHOPPING LIST BEFORE GETTING YOUR NEW PUPPY! **royal canin small bites 33 puppy dry food or Eukanuba Small Breed Puppy dry food , ask us which brand your puppy is on.  (only found at Pet supermarket, Pet smart, Pet Co) ask us which brand your particular puppy is on. read pet food recall lists daily!! important: we suggest leaving food out 24 hrs a day in the first several weeks!!! do not feed 3 times daily!!! little teacup puppies especially need to eat all day and evenings!!! they dont each much at one time because they are so tiny, but they do eat frequently, 5 or 6 times a day, a little at a time.  figure they should be eating every three hours and it is your responsibility to see that they are eating well on their own!!   we do not cover for hypoglycemia, ( nor does anyone else) which is caused by not eating enough and or stress,  so throw out food that sits more than 4 hrs and replace it with fresh of course. fresh water every 4 hrs too, we suggest purified bottled water. this is of utmost importance!!! also do not change brands of food for at least two months or longer and if so it must be done gradually. changing brands immediately can cause diarreah. take care of your newest little loved one properly and they will reward you with years of unconditional love in return!!! ** **Hills AD canned food (just in case of emergency) (only found at a vet’s office)** also check pet food recall pages daily. **Pedialyte clear, NOT flavored** **Karo Syrup CLEAR ALSO** **Crate and playpen** SIZE SMALL CRATE, WIRED ALL SIDES. 18" to 24" wide, 24" long and 24" high. this is not a plastic travel crate but specifically a training crate, there's a difference. ask salesperson at petsmart, pet supermarket or petco. playpens are only $40 at walmart and can be used during the day when you are away for two hours or more. they provide more room so your puppy can be safe and still move around more. your crate should only be used evenings during the crate training process! about 4 to 5 weeks. a puppy should not be crated during the day! see my crate training article. ** **Harness, no collars** see our new harness dresses and vests on our puppy boutique page. best thing since sliced bread!!!! **Rawhide sticks (when end of stick turns chewy throw away and give a new one)** **Food and water dishes** ** Newspapers, not puppypads. puppypads are dangerous. Puppy pads are dangerous, they contain fibers and if eaten your puppy can choke. i am old fashioned, use newspapers, it's safer.** **Nutrical (MOST IMPORTANT MUST BUY)** Instructions: ** Must give Nutrical for 2 times a day after eating for the first week, 2 times a week for the second week, and once a day forever, Nutrical gives extra vitamins, although Nutrical is not a substitute for eating it provides essential vitamins and minerals for your growing puppy. it is also a great training tool for your new puppy because they love it. should be given after eating. ** ** Must add one teaspoon of clear Kayo Syrup and 2/3 cups of bottled purified water and 1/3 cup of pedialyte for the first week of bringing puppy home. **Must keep house temperature no lower than 78 degrees, ( we understand that’s a little warm) but you can simply place the puppy in a room where vents have been closed. no overhead fans on your new puppy either. if it's overly cold they can catch a draft and a cold. use common sense as you would for a baby.** **Limit puppy running around time to no more than 15-20 minutes and let puppy rest for at least 30 minutes before continuing any activity for the first few days. they are like babies and need their rest and nap times. **our customers must call us for the first 3 days in a row to let us know how well the puppy is adjusting to their new home and family. we will want updates on how well your new yorkiebabie is eating. this is very time consuming for us but we feel it is best for your new puppy and you. we care about our puppies and like updates. ** **feel free to call us 9am to 9pm est any day. but if you have an emergency, you can call anytime. this should not be necessary if you have followed all our tips and advice but available to you if an emergency.** **PUPPY PACKS NOW Available AT $200 AND COME WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR YOUR NEW ARRIVAL.
